Craig Hanson, 57, of Callender passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2019.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 4, 2019 at Fulton Lutheran Church, Roelyn, with Pastor Jim Davis officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation will be Thursday, January 3, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Palmer Sons Funeral Home, Gowrie.
Craig is survived by his fiancé, Darla Babcock of Callender; his children, Ben Hanson of Delta; Allison Hanson (Tylor Pence) of Sigourney; Tyler Hanson of Brooklyn; mother, Vivian (Donald) Klingson of Fort Dodge; siblings, Randy Hanson of Texas; Sandy (Keith) Strutzenberg of Arizona; Steve (Bixi) Hanson of Slifer; Cindy (Duane) Schuttler; Lori (John) Morse both of Manson; James Hanson of Fort Dodge; son-in-law, Nick Vance and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Hanson and daughter, Megan Vance.
Craig Douglas Hanson was born April 21, 1961 in Fort Dodge. He was raised on a farm near Slifer and attended Cedar Valley schools. For over 20 years, Craig worked for the City of Callender. He then drove truck for New Coop before his retirement due to ill health.
Craig was a hardworking man who instilled a work ethic in his children. He liked to bowl and shared his interest in drag racing with his brother, James. Craig was a mechanic and had a small engine repair shop. He also enjoyed farming with his brother, Steve and friend, Mike Peterson.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
