“We, the sons of Harry and Esther Nielsen, Stanley Nielsen, Donovan Nielsen, and Clifton Nielsen extend our condolences to you the family of Phillip. We have the best memories of Phillip, Marilyn ... parents Percy and Inger from the 1950s and 60s. A plane ride and working a few summer days for Phillip in the haying and dairy work. Food meals prepared for the workers were, to this day, unforgettable! Thank you all for the memories! Clifton P. Nielsen. 1013 Parker Street New Hampton Ia. ”

“To the family of Phillip Peterson, My sympathies. Phil grew up one mile North of us and Harry Jorgensen gave me my first airplane ride in the Peterson airplane which gave me the desire to fly over 2000 hours in my airplane. I have a picture of Phil and the Cessna airplane. I lived in Ames over 50 years and moved to Okoboji in 2010 when my wife died. My sympathies to Paul and Dave and all the family. “Sorry to learn of Phillip’s passing. Over 50 years ago when in high school I loved working for Phillip and Percy as dairy cattle were my passion. I always respected Phillip’s passion for the dairy industry. Being there when the new milking parlor opened was a highlight! Another highlight was having the opportunity to fly with Phillip to a Holstein field day somewhere in Iowa. I loved being around Phillip and of course all of you 3 “kids” were great fun as well. I know you have fond memories of him and your mother that will sustain you in the future. Take care of yourselves!! Sincerely, Jim Swanson ”
