“Mom - I've had several days now to grieve, but my heart is still broken. I miss you terribly, but I'm trying to focus on the joy you gave me and not the pain of losing you. I know you're with Dad now and that helps a lot. Thanking you for everything you have done for me seems woefully inadequate, yet I am truly thankful. Without your life-long guidance and your example, I would not be the person I am still becoming. I love you - always.”
