“Deepest sympathy Mark to you and your entire family at this time - I was at the American Legion a few years back and visited with your Mother - she was full of stories about You! A Mothers memories are full of LOVE and the day I met up with her at Legion she wanted to share her love of her children. You kids were indeed the love of her life. I admire her for this.

“Mae was one of my favorite people. I had the honor of interviewing her on several occasions for a couple of articles for "The Gowrie News." She was always so gracious. One article was about a quilt block she had on the front of her home in Farnhamville that had an interesting story behind the pattern. Another item was as a "Gold Star Mother" for the local Legion Auxiliary. Her son, Curt was killed while serving in the military. That story was posted on the 'Damn Proud to be from Farnhamville' Facebook page a while back. There is so much more I could share about her. Sincere condolences to her family on their loss. She was a wonderful person who will be missed.”
